Plastic mold
1. If the mold cavity is poorly processed, such as scars, micro-holes, wear, roughness, etc., it will inevitably reflect on the plastic parts, making the plastic parts poor gloss. In this regard, the mold should be carefully processed to ensure the surface of the cavity as much as possible.
2. If there is oil stain on the surface of the cavity, too much water or mold release agent is used, the surface of the plastic part will be dark and dull. In this regard, oil and water stains should be removed in time, and release agents should be used in limited quantities.
3. If the demoulding slope of the plastic part is too small, it will be difficult to demold or the pressure during demolding will be too large, resulting in poor surface gloss of the plastic part. In this regard, the demolding slope should be increased.
4. If the mold exhaust is not good, too much gas stays in the mold, which will also lead to poor gloss. Check and correct the mold exhaust system.
Injection molding process
1. If the injection speed is too small, the surface of the plastic part is not tight and the gloss is poor. In this regard, the injection speed should be appropriately increased.
2. For thick-walled plastic parts, if the cooling is not sufficient, the surface will be hairy and the gloss will be darker, so the cooling system needs to be improved.
3. If the holding pressure is insufficient and the holding time is too short, the density of the plastic parts is not enough and the gloss is poor. For this, the holding pressure and holding time should be increased.
4. If the melt temperature is too low, the fluidity is poor, and it is easy to cause poor gloss. For this, the melt temperature should be appropriately increased. -- Automotive Accessories Mould Manufacturer
